Hi-tech hatchery of Anko-Invest LLC is part of a modern agricultural and industrial facility of one of the largest food producers in Tajikistan. Anko-Invest specializes in producing eggs, chicken meat, flour, and sunflower oil.The high-tech incubation facility of Anko-Invest LLC is part of a modern agro-industrial complex belonging to one of the largest food producers in Tajikistan. Anko-Invest specializes in producing eggs, chicken meat, flour, and sunflower oil. The poultry production infrastructure includes a large poultry farm consisting of 10 chicken coops, chicken breeding and slaughtering facilities, and a feed mill for producing compound feed for cattle and poultry. This enables the company to ensure stable supplies of products to all regions of the country and makes them available to both retail buyers and the wholesale market.
Ventilation requirements
In 2023, as part of the expansion of ANKO's production capabilities, it was decided to build a new incubation unit as one of the key elements for the further development of poultry farming. When designing the facility, requirements for the ventilation system were laid down, as stable air circulation and the right climate inside the incubator are crucial for effective incubation processes and high-quality poultry production.

The ventilation of the incubation facility was supposed to ensure gas exchange in the embryos, oxygen supply, and removal of excess heat, moisture, and carbon dioxide from the eggs at all stages of incubation. It is in the final stages, when the heat release of eggs increases significantly and a sufficient amount of oxygen is especially necessary for proper hatching, that the requirements for the ventilation system are particularly high. It was also planned that the ventilation system would operate continuously 24/7 and would be able to adjust the intensity of air circulation depending on what stage of development the embryos were at. An important condition was the uniform distribution of air without blowing directly on the eggs to prevent them from drying out and reducing the hatch rate.
BlauAir BLF ventilation
Blauberg BlauAir BLF air handling units have been installed in the incubation room: 1 BLF09 model and 3 BLF12 models. They are equipped with Carel automated control systems with LCD displays, water heaters, freon coolers, and energy-efficient EC plug fans, which ensure high efficiency (up to 90%). BlauAir BLF12 units are further equipped with one inline humidity sensor, two wall-mounted humidity sensors, and a wall-mounted temperature sensor. BlauAir BLF12 units are further equipped with one inline humidity sensor, two wall-mounted humidity sensors, and a wall-mounted temperature sensor. The air flow is 9,000 m3/h for BlauAir BLF09 and 12,000 m3/h for BlauAir BLF12 units, providing the necessary air flow in the workshop.
BlauCool VRF system
To provide the necessary temperature range, two BLAUCOOL VRF systems with high-pressure inline indoor units, 10 kW each, were implemented.
The system’s core consists of seven outdoor BLAUBERG BLAUCOOL units of the BLHVE series with a power of 28–56 kW and AHU-kit designed for ventilation units. The series is designed for industrial facilities with high reliability and energy efficiency requirements. Thanks to EVI technology, the system retains up to 85% of its rated air flow at -15 °C and demonstrates higher performance compared to standard VRF solutions. A wide, adjustable air flow range makes the equipment operation adaptable to the dynamic heat loads of the process of incubation. The system supports remote control via mobile devices, as well as intelligent fault warning based on cloud analytics, allowing for early response to deviations in parameters. An extra advantage is the cooling of the inverter board with refrigerant, which guarantees stable operation of the equipment even at ambient temperatures as high as up to +55 °C.
For areas with lower heat loads, two outdoor BLHV-R MINI (BLHV-R100-O/1R1A) series units are used. The units are equipped with dual-rotor DC inverter compressors, which ensure high efficiency in partial load mode, low noise, and less vibration during operation. The MINI series operates stably in a wide temperature range — up to +55 °C in cooling mode and down to –20 °C in heating mode, which is important for continuous operation in agricultural and industrial production.

Indoor air distribution is provided by 2 two-duct BLHV-I Ducted (BLHV-100-I-DM-AC/1R1A) indoor units. They are equipped with centrifugal fans with high air flow and low noise, which allows for acoustic comfort even during continuous operation (up to 24 dB). The design of the units provides for the supply of fresh outdoor air directly into the system, which enhances the efficiency of the indoor climate control with no need for separate solutions.
ALB air heating or cooling units
To organize effective air heating and cooling in the production areas of the hatchery, 7 Blauberg ALB series units, namely ALB-25 models, were installed. The equipment is designed to heat or cool air using a water coolant and distribute it uniformly throughout the rooms, as well as for local air conditioning of separate workspaces. The units have an air flow of 2,200 m³/h, with a power consumption from 136 W and a sound pressure level from 53 dB at a distance of 3 m. The casing is made of polymer-coated steel and equipped with guide louvers that allow the air flow to be precisely directed.
" A powerful warm airflow provides air blowing of the containers after washing, removes excess moisture, and makes them ready for use. "

Blauberg Tower roof exhaust fans
To organize effective exhaust ventilation in the hatchery, the following configuration of Blauberg Tower centrifugal roof fans was installed: 5 Tower-AM series units and 4 Tower-H EC series units. The equipment is mounted on the roof of the building directly above the ventilation shafts and ensures stable removal of exhaust air from the production premises.

The Tower-AM series fans are equipped with AC motors with centrifugal impellers with backward curved blades, designed for continuous operation and providing a maximum air flow of up to 1,880 m³/h at a sound pressure level from 47 dBA.

The Tower-H EC series utilises energy-efficient EC motors, allowing for smooth control of the air flow via a 0–10 V signal, adapting ventilation to the actual requirements of the premises. The maximum air flow of the series fans is up to 10,900 m³/h, and the sound pressure level is from 49 dBA, which ensures high energy efficiency and acoustic comfort.

Blauberg Tower roof fans are integrated into the overall ventilation system and effectively complement the operation of BlauAir supply and exhaust units and BlauCool VRF systems.
Project implementation results
The ventilation solution implemented using Blauberg equipment made it possible to create a controllable, reliable, and energy-efficient ventilation system in the hatchery of Anko-Invest LLC, fully adapted to the specifics of poultry production. The comprehensive combination of BlauAir BLF supply and exhaust ventilation, BlauCool VRF systems, ALB air heating and cooling units, and Tower roof exhaust fans ensured a clear distribution of functions between the equipment and its coordinated operation within a single ventilation system. As a result, the hatchery received a modern engineering solution that increases the efficiency of production processes, contributes to a higher percentage of hatching, and meets the strategic development plans of Anko-Invest.
